Translation ErrorsEdit

Well, this is my first time doing online kind of stuff so im sorry if I don't understand some of the stuff correctly, but I've been spotting errors in japanese to english translations around the site. On the front page, there is a part talking about the Mekakushi Dan, and I can't help but point out that mekakushi (目隠し or めかくし) in japanese means blindfold and writing it out in katakana (メカクシ) would mean something completely different. Katakana is supposed to be used to translate western words that did not exist in japan before and intergrate them into their language. So by using the katakana to write out mekakushi, that would imply that you were trying to say something that doesn't mean blindfold, and it would butcher the original name of 目隠し団 or mekakushidan, which translates directly to "blindfold team" or "blindfold gang".
If I'm wrong, please feel free to correct me. --TwoPizzas (talk) 01:05, June 12, 2015 (UTC)
Hey there! Thank you for your concern on this matter, but I am afraid I have to tell you that the Japanese letters we are using are those officially used by the producers, as far as I know at least. While I don't doubt your words, we are relying on official sources from Jin himself, as well as his original video uploads on the Japanese Nico Nico. The Mekakushi (メカクシ) is used for both, the name Mekakushi Dan and the song Mekakushi Code/Chord. It is unfortunately out of my knowledge why Jin used these letters and if there is a reason behind it, but as he is a native speaker, I trust his decision. If you, however, happen to find errors on song lyrics or the like, feel free to correct them. Our wiki editors are not native Japanese speakers, so errors on those sites are bound to happen without us being able to spot them. If you happen to speak the language, the help would definitely be appreciated! --IRosefeather (talk) 17:54, June 12, 2015 (UTC)
Thanks for the clarification! I've only recently started to gain interest in Kagerou Days, so I can't really say much about it. My knowledge of the japanese language is only mediocre, but I can help here and there. If you need any help with anything, i'll be around ^^ Thank you for your time! TwoPizzas (talk) 00:03, June 13, 2015 (UTC)
