When referring to immortal individuals with snakes for hair and the ability to turn people to stone via eye contact, is this person "a Gorgon" (GORE-gun) or "a Medusa" (meh-DOO-suh)? As in "Marry Kozakura is 1/4th gorgon, and all of the women in her family were gorgons" or "Marry Kozakura is 1/4th medusa, and all of the women in her family were medusae."
There's no actual difference between these terms as we would use them in the context of the Kagerou Project, but I want to get a read on what everybody's preference is and why. In Greek mythology, Medusa the individual is referred to by name, or as "The Gorgon Medusa," and Gorgon is used to name the three sisters -- Euryale, Stheno, and Medusa -- who shared the characteristics we associate with Medusa today (i.e. snake hair, petrification).
So which do you prefer? And do you capitalize it?
Personally, I prefer gorgon, lowercase g, because it sounds better.
